Discover how sleep dentistry can help

What is sleep dentistry?

If you’re terrified about going to a dentist then this is the answer to your prayers.

Sleep dentistry is relatively new but is revolutionising dental care, especially for oral surgery procedures such as wisdom teeth removal and dental implants. IV sedation, sometimes referred to as ‘twilight sedation’ or ‘sleep dentistry’, puts you somewhere between awake and asleep. You’ll be conscious enough to respond to requests like ‘open wider’.

However, the reason sleep dentistry is becoming so popular is you won’t remember a thing! You’ll remember before and after, but time will fly and an hour-long procedure seem to pass in minutes.

We work in day surgeries and hospitals with our own specialist anaesthetists and state-of-the-art facilities for your safety. You can enjoy all the benefits of modern-day dentistry and be calm and anxiety free at the same time. If it’s decided that your case needs to be performed under general anaesthetic, additional hospital and/or anaesthetist fees may apply. We work with excellent Hospitals and Day Surgeries.

Hospital costs will vary between which hospital is chosen for your surgery (aprox. from $550 to $950).
If you have private hospital cover for over 12 months it will likely to cost you nothing out of pocket or a small excess.

How good is that!

Alternatives to sleep dentistry

At our clinic, we also offer local anaesthetic and Penthrox sedation (a very safe combination of inhaler and pharmaceutical agent). If you need to have surgery done at a hospital (which is something you will decide together with your surgeon), we offer a qualified anaesthetist for general anaesthesia.

How much does IV sedation cost?

Remember, our mission is cheaper wisdom teeth extraction and low-cost (affordable) dental implants.

In Sydney you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of up to 85% for IV Sedation sleep dentistry. In most cases you pay as little as $100 when you undergo a procedure such as dental implant surgery or surgical removal of wisdom teeth.

In Melbourne we work in collaboration with several hospitals and anaesthetists and can offer affordable fees for general anaesthetic procedures. Medicare rebates also apply to fees charged by the specialist anaesthetists.
